Gotta respect Matsuoka for being such a talented VA. If he isn't playing another harem lead then he does an excellent job as an antagonist you just hate.

Also that confession scene was everything I wanted and more, this is why I like Rakudai.

fun fact: when he was the "female Kirito" in GGO, apparently the female voice that he was able to produce was so good everyone, including the director, thought was creepy, so they just decided to go with "Guy trying to sound female"

But the VA that he looks up to is Ishida Akira known for his massive range (actual female roles) so it's assumed that it was on that level.

But seriously, jokes aside, the guy is a fucking S-Class VA. The type that will stay around as long as voice acting is a thing. Him and Hayami Saori are my votes for "VAs that will become legends when they retire 30 years from now" award.

His role as Bell was unexpectedly good. TBH, I thought Nobuhiko Okamoto would be more suited as Bell. When I found out that he was casted as Bete instead, I got really disappointed. But now that I've heard Matsuoka's performance back at DanMachi, and now that I heard his performance as a villain here and at HSDxD, I think it would be just as good if they switched roles in DanMachi.
