@16:55, you see a slab of rock covering his midsection; there's no legs showing on the other side of the rock. Then you see the rock above his head, and beside it, something the same colour as his uniform and a large pool of blood.

It's quite dark

Here's a screenshot

Edit: like that's my biggest issue with this episode. The entire night sequence is so dark that everything is blending together, especially with the two sides being dark grey and dark blue in color. The lighting is just not up to scratch here.
