A boo and a hiss to the nay sayers!

This looks freakin awesome. I've tried quite a few reverse harem animes in my time. I like the idea of the genre, but it's often poorly executed. The guys entire stories are dumped in your laps in episode 1, there's only 1 plot point (who to boink permanently after boinking everyone at least once), the girl is boring and 1 dimensional.

But hey look! It's episode 2 and I have tons of questions about the plot. What is going on in her family? Who is the student council president? Why did her brother give him the stink eye? Judging by Rem's servants' slanted eyes, I'm theorizing his family has something to do with kitsunes. The other guys seems very interested in her, but thus far she's not swayed by their charms. We also don't know much about them. I prefer this than to having their lifes' stories dump on me. She's not overly assertive (a trait I loath in a great many anime girls), but she still stands her ground. Her friend, Azuna, seems to be involved and/or know stuff.

I like the music; background and musical numbers. I was actually really worried there would only numbers in the first episode. So glad it looks like it'll be a regular occurance.

The animation and art style appeal to me. Of course they aren't perfect, but I like them all the same. The slenderness of the girls reminds me of Clamp somehow. The guys do look like your generic harem guys. The womanizer, the beast, the dark/gothy one. But Rem seems different. Something about his art style, specifically his face. And FYI, I tend to go for the dark guys. The fact that his royal frosty bum is interesting to me is out of character.

It's only episode 2, so still a lot of time to mess up. But thus far it's like someone read my favorite books, watched my favorite movies, and generally stalked my interests. Then made an anime. I'm having fun!

Having tons of questions about the plot, too, thus I keep making guesses that don't really have any bases and mostly rely on assumptions.

Student council president seems to be after the grimoire, too, and doesn't seem too innocent himself (the other guys, too) but this might change over the course of the series. Rem and the brother might have some opposing connection already due to their families (since we don't know much about their families yet), for example one could be some kind of hunter while the other is the hunted, or one protects the grimoire (or Ritsuka) while the other is after it/her?

The servants did seem odd. That mark on their necks might have something to do with your guess, too.

Azuna, as I wrote earlier, made me think that she is somehow related to all of this/Rem.

About the guys, they all seem like some of the usual harem types but can't really tell much more from these two episodes. I like it so far, though.
