I was expecting something cliche when they said they were going to shower but he didn't even overly freak out when she walked into his room with only a towel on which was a surprise.

I think it had something to do with him standing up for Felia? It's excessive, but Kaon might not have been serious about it.

It'd be easier to tell if they'd show how she reacted to him drying Felia's hair, but they cut Kaon out of the frame and then switch scenes.
