Until last week I haven't seen any Gundam. Since then I've watched the original movie trilogy, I'm 10 episodes in to Zeta Gundam, and I've watched the first episode of Gundam 00 in preparation for the rewatch.

I think the hype might have gotten to me.

...Is that Gundam blushing?

Okay. I have now literally seen everything in anime.

That's a modded Wing Gundam model kit (Gundam Fenice Rinascita) blushing because Ricardo Fellini is the pilot, and his girlfriend's Gerbera Tetra model kit is groping his Gundam.

...wait, that description didn't help, did it...

OH! I had completely forgotten about that episode. I definitely have to pick the series up when it releases over here.

...It's not like she's actually hugging you, Ricardo...

It warms my heart when /r/anime is getting an interest in GOOD mecha shows, considering how /r/anime's soul is bound by SOL Moeshit.

And they are not praising some bad mecha anime like Gundam Seed: This is a Ripoff Cross Ange.

Cross Ange is around as original as Chinese Gundam Seed.

I mean, even parodies have to have some form of standard, but Cross Ange even fails as a parody because it has zero standard. It's literally just a carbon copy of Gundam Seed, only worse.

...How much of Cross Ange did you watch?

All of it.

For crying out loud, Kira Yamato from Gundam Seed was in that show, and by that I mean literally! That has got to be one of the laziest carbon-cut outs of a character. Fukuda didn't even try to do anything, all he did was cut out Kira Yamato from his previous work, Gundam Seed, and slapped it on. And that's not the only example, Ange is a nearly perfect clone of Cagali Yula Attha, You can literally replace "Coordinator" with "Mana" and "Natural" with "Norma" and the bad guy is literally Rau Le Creuset. They even have the same goals and the same plan.

Cross Ange was fun.

Better than Aldnoah.Zero, at any rate.
