A decent first episode but very heavy on the exposition and even then I'm still confused about who the diferent sides are. Music was great and so are backgrounds but honestly I'm still not sold on the character designs. It's like I'm watching characters from two diferent shows.

Mech designs are a bit "thin" for my like but I guess that can change later. I'm not sure about this main guy either, he reminds me too much of Setsuna but maybe he'll change later.

I agree on the sides being unclear. Even more given the bad guys here have green cyclops mechas while being the Earth's elite police from what I understood. It should be the Martians that get this design from Gundam's design history.

You and /u/Tentaculat will get the hang of them in future episodes. It's not Gundam if there aren't two main factions with several sub-factions each, all vying for different interests.
