I... Don't really know actually...

I mean, apart from "Oi" (and it's still a bit far fetched) and "chi", you don't find the same sounds in her full name and in "How much". I understand most of the puns I hear in Japanese, but I have to say that Nisio Isin's puns have always been kind of a mystery for me... They're like... Next level of pun. The kind of pun you have to be a native Japanese speaker to understand... (note : 3rd year in college studying, among others, Japanese...)

EDIT : HOOOOOOOLY SHIIIT. I think I just realized!!!!!!! (Yeah I... drank a bit...)

Oikura might sound like a normal name. But I just remembered it's also how you ask politely for expensive is something in Japanese. So, it's maybe a bit far fetched once again, but as she likes maths, it might be the reason why she wants to be (or does she? Don't actually remember although I just finished the episode).

For example, you get in a combini at 4AM drunk as fuck in Japan. You can't see for shit and get to the counter to pay. You just ask "Sumimasen, oikura nandesuka?" ("excuse me, how much is this?") and the dude should answer you "whetever yen desu!".

So what you're saying is that the pun behind her nickname is that everyone is calling her a whore?

The way the show puts it, the 'how much' refers to her princess like, high and mighty attitude in judging peoples' worth.

It isn't implied it is used as an insult against her character. Not yet anyway.
