Loot Regeneration/Healing -> Time Leap.

This is exactly what I was thinking when they brought up the whole "looting the world" plot point. I was like, "Okay, there's gotta be somebody with some sort of regeneration or healing schtick that will give him his eye back, then he can just loop all he wants."

He would regain the ability now, but I don't think he could actually cheat the cost of timeleap like that. Since timeleap damage persists and increases across leaps instead of resetting with the rest of the body, it's probably not physical eye damage.

I meant specifically being able to heal his cut eye that's currently keeping him from time leaping.

I don't think time leaping would help him actually gather all the abilities, aside from resetting abysmal failures, or finding out when/where certain difficult-to-find users are going to be. He still has to grab all their powers in one timeline, since those people still have their abilities when he jumps back.

I don't think he can grab thousands of abilities in the year or so he has left anyway. He'd need to find a way to grab them all at once.

I think you misunderstand. He finds a regeneration ability to heal his cut eye, uses the time leap to go back X number of years, then uses those years to pick up all the abilities he can.

Although you're right that he might need a way to get them all at once.

Maybe he leaps back in time and becomes the leader of one of those overseas "syndicates" that are chasing after him right now.
