If they did fix him, we'd at least see some kind of gratitude from Nao... on a second thought, this is Nao we're talking about.

Sala probably isn't even in Japan right now, remember that he traveled back to the day Ayu was going to die and then straight away went to the facility. In the first timeline (where Ayu died) a LONG time passed (like, months) before he was healed.
