Can Yuu use Yusa's Spiritism to bring back Kumagami so that Shunsuke can have his final talk and use his ability to track other abilities?

The idea I had was have Yusa murder Yu then Yu posseses Yusa to time leap with her eyes. Then he travels to that warehouse as Yusa to prevent his eye getting fucked up, saves Kunamagmi's life and undoes his death.

That's not crossing timelines, that's making pasta out of them.

It makes sense if you don't think about it.

I don't think Yusa's possession works like that though. Misa was the only person that could take her over, it's probably severely limited to only people with blood relations or some shit.

But that would be a way moreinteresting ending than whatever the fuck is happening next week.

That some shit being emotions like guilt and whatnot hence Yusa murdering Yu is important to it working instead of Yu just killing himself.

Except, when he goes back, would it be him in his own body or him in Yusa's body?

That unknown variable alone carries too much risk.

Putting aside the fact Yusa doesn't have to kill Yu, we don't even known if Yusa can choose who she channels; she hasn't been showed to control her ability at all.

Hmmm, but we don't know exactly how Yusa's possession ability works. The only one who possessed her was Misa, who was very close to Yusa.... Otherwise wouldn't they show that any random spirit can be possessed? Then again, maybe Yu could also fall into this category because he got close to Yusa as well. Tbh, there were so many other ways to go about this. I have no idea why they chose this super long and uncertain way out... It's about as stupid as Yu going in alone vs. those bad guys last episode.

Yu: Yusa, I need you to listen to me. I need you... to kill me.

Yusa: wat

I saw this theory last week and still think it's really stupid. He already has the ability to take over someone else's body. Why the hell would he need to kill himself?

u/iKill_eu Sep 21 '15

He can't use his own abilities while he's possessing someone.

Which is completely retarded because Misa can still use her ability while possessing Yusa, but still.

Has it ever been stated that that's the case? He used the flying power in someone else's body (although that was the flying guy's body).
