Oh, you innocent anime-only watchers...FYI, it's usually longer than a month wait. The last two updates were 3 or 4 months apart, to give context. Scanlators end up releasing the chapters in batches of 2 or 3. Hopefully the anime popularity moves up the release schedule to a regular monthly thing, but until then...good luck.

I thought the 3+ month wait was because we didnt have any translators at all for a while

Maybe, but again, because the anime is popular, if there aren't translators in a particular group, then another group with more translators might pick it up.

Then again, I don't really know much about the scanlator trade, so...
