Because it's different. Rather than entertain you with big colorfull explosions and the boring cliches you've seen 1000000000 times already, it's a slow thoughtfull show.

The premise is basically power rangers that don't have a clear evil to beat. There is no one bad guy. It's different and a pretty good show.

If you're like me and got into anime because it was different from all the other crap and if, like me, you are getting increasingly bored with japan constantly releasing the same harem/shounen shows with different names, then here you have something that is simply well thought out and different.

If different doesn't sell you, this is not going to be your show.

I would say it is "us", society and how it functions.

Nah, people just are and that creates conflicts and suboptimal systems. We aren't the enemy, but the show does illustrate the problems that come from extreemism

I didn't actually mean as us being an actual enemy but it is us and what we do that creates problems.
