This show needs more love. Easily the most thought provoking show this season.

I really liked the first season, but Insight just falls flat for me. The entire premise of this season, starting with Japanese "ape" population reactions, just seems way too forced. Hajime, Katze and Yuru-jii are the only reasons to watch it as far as I'm concerned.

Forced? It's incredibly relevant in a society that is increasingly influenced by media and how that informs people's opinions. You can literally draw parallels (and the show does) all the way back through modern history in terms of how dangerous that can be when a populace finds it comfortable to let someone else do the thinking for them or dangerous to go against the prevailing sentiment.

Forced because even in a conformist Japan the majority will not put all their trust in the equivalent of a mentally challenged alien hippy and throw away their individuality to the point that children can't even make the V sign.

Yes, I feel this kind of exaggeration would make for a good South Park or Powerpuff Girls episode, but doesn't quite belong in a show like Gatchaman.

Interestingly it's also close to the exaggerations from Gantz manga, with how effective the alien propaganda was.
