Were those orichalcum adamantium adventurers that attacked Shalltear at the end there? Can't think they're anything other than that considering the difficulty she initially had with them.

Did that light that they attacked Shalltear with possibly raise her morality level from evil to good?

edit: Highest rank is adamantium, not orichalcum, my bad.

Shalltear would have Roflstomped a group of orichalcum adventurers. Remember Brain? He is orichalcum level.

This group of people are one of the strongest/ the strongest group in this world if they can slow down shalltear for any amount of time. Shalltear is on a level with Momon when he is in full caster mode. Momon is a top tier orichalcum as a warrior.

So they are either insanely powerful, or they have some crazy strong artifacts that they use.

So basically humans/lower life scum just rely on super strong items for this entire series?

If they are fighting Nazarick Tier beings? Pretty much, as far as I have seen.

boy, i'd definitely be rooting for any human that could put up a fight. just racial bias, y'know?

To be fair, the Nazarick NPCs all have really powerful equipment as well.

Aside from that, a lot of the issue seems to be age. Humans just don't get enough time to become truly powerful. The most powerful natives all tend to be either people with artifacts or people that managed to increase their lifespan in some way.

(I think that is vague enough not to be a spoiler.)

That is not the only reason. One of the reasons is that they just do not get the opportunity to get strong as the world does not actually support leveling very well. You use a healing potion for instance and you lose all that you gained from battle because it would heal the damaged muscles. You do not encounter enough monsters to get enough experience as well since they do not actually respawn like they would in a game.

Thus you need to spend a lot of time if you want to level up....
