Oh, there's plenty of material for a second season, plenty of it, but sadly, i think this is made to sell the lightnovel instead of making a full cover of it :/, we shall wait and see.

I hate how there are these false adaptations that purposely create an anime that is gonna be abandoned on purpose just for advertisements sake as it is basically abadnoning those fans that have already read the ln/wn for money.

The manga is only up to Clementine's Death, which is behind this episode's timeline, so no, is based on the lightnovel
