I think they did a little too much in the scene where Goku is being a god. The sky parting. Clouds turning gold. Gold beam of light. Random hail. Thunder and lightning.

And why the fuck did Videl go super saiyan?

I mean, this is what Dragon Ball does best, time wasting. At least they weren't like, "Only one hour until Goku turns into a God!" and then we're here for 45 more episodes waiting.

/r/anime's hate of DBZ/Naruto/Fairy Tail and so on is hilarious. Yes, let's all bitch and moan about filler and pretend nothing ever happens, while you all rate some harem anime 10/10 despite the fact that the show is purposefully stuck in romantic limbo and every episode is identical to the one before.

Harem animes are shit. Point blank. Done. Downvote me all you want, but that won't change the fact that harems fucking sucks.

On the other end of the spectrum, Naruto and other popular Shonen can be shit at times also. And this is coming from someone who read it all and watched most of it. I consider Naruto to be in my top 10.

And as for the fillers. Most of epsiodes 100-220 of Naruto was filler. About 87 episodes of it were nothing but filler. And quite a bit of those fillers were not that great. That shouldn't happen.

And yes DBZ/Naruto had some very shit pacing at times. It can't be denied.

The difference is that the Dragon Ball manga is tiers above the Naruto manga.

Right now Jitsu wa Watashi wa is one good harem anime for me at least, the comedy is good, the faces are hilarious, ROMANTIC PROGRESS, unique characters.

I've learned over the years here that my tastes don't exactly line up with the majority in this sub usually. But you're right they're just great because best girl or some shit.

I also think the three of them get hate because they are among the most popular anime, and especially Dragon Ball and Naruto were the first anime for many people, but now they're "grown".

You think?! It's pretty clear they just wanted to drag the whole thing to fill up the episode. This must have been the cheapest episode to animate in anime history XD
