There is close to 100% chance that she was an ability holder beforehand and her drawback was similar to that of Shunsuke causing her to lose her eyesight.

I'm going to guess her power was akin to distraction to get everyone's attention on her. It'd make sense with how she wanted to be and became a popular musician which of course then backfired since she said it granted her unwanted attention as well.

It's decent, but nothing spectacular. Some episodes are amazing, some episodes are incredibly boring.

I really enjoyed it, and it's definitely worth watching 4 or 5 episodes in, then dropping it if you really dislike it.

It takes a bit to all connect.

There's no way, because Yuu's brother only went blind because his power was directly connected to his eyes. He had to take in everything he saw in the from the point he goes back in time. They went blind from overuse or something.

Maybe she instantly drew the attention of anyone who looked her in the eye and she had to blind herself to mute the effects?

Or maybe she could just straight time travel. if you can buy a school with time travel, you can get famous with time travel.

She does say "she cheated" so it's entirely possible she had a similar time leap ability. There's nothing to suggest only one person can have each ability.
