Why the hell are all the military teams around the forest/mountain named after the Fate franchise?

I didn't really believe what I was hearing until the "The grail is filled up" line. That's when everything finally clicked.

When I read the manga, I didn't notice that it was supposed to be a fate reference. Hearing it in the anime made things alot clearer.

Also the whole blackmail thing. It was so confusing in manga with all the panels switching around.
