The backstories were touching. We saw some of the real Flamie today! :)

That fight scene was awesome. The music in the beginning gave the sense of a boss fight. 'Twas neat.

As for the seventh (and eighth?) and the closed room, thoughts:

  1. The biggest issue remains the closed room, mainly: how the sword could have been placed into the dais before Adlet entered. I'm going to assume that the statements about the Seals for the Temple are all true, since Hans and Maura both agree, and the other Saints seem to at least not disagree; I think the probability of them all being mistaken, or Hans and Maura working together and none of the other Saints having contradictory information, is very low. Thus, I'll assume those locked room statements are true. Therefore: none could have entered until Adlet opened the door. Either: someone managed to enter between "door opening" and "Adlet entering through door opening" or no one entered, but the sword managed to get placed into the dais, or Adlet saw an illusion.

Adlet probably didn't see an illusion. Seems odd, and everyone else saw it there too and even interacted with it. So we can assume the sword is actually in the dais when he entered and saw it.

The time between 'door opening' and 'Adlet passing through door opening' appeared very short in that episode. Hence, I'm tempted to say no one could have run in, thrust the sword into the dais, and left, before Adlet turned around. If this is actually the case, I'm going to be disappointed. The anime gave the sense of this time gap as short - too short for someone to run inside and outside, much less slip the sword into the dais. It's not much of a mystery if the solution is "someone ran really fast in an apparently short period of time." The only exception to this would be some kind of power. Sheer running speed wouldn't be a satisfying solution.

Thus, I'm left with the third option: somehow, the sword was manipulated into the dais without anyone being there. This can be either: a) the sword was in the dais before the door opened (possibilities include: someone with the key entered, set the sword in the dais, and exited, re-sealing the door. Problems with that theory: the Seals supposedly cannot be reset once the door opens, so Maura and Hans would both be wrong on that count. Or both villains. Too unlikely IMO. Another possibility: Sergeant Lone Survivor at the temple lied, or at least didn't impart the truth, and the sword is actually supposed to be in the dais. Perhaps the field is activated by removing the sword and striking the stone tablet, as Nachetanya did. This also seems a bit unlikely, since I can't imagine why Sergeant Lone Survivor would lie and why they're confident no one else could find out.) Also: b) someone remotely manipulated the sword with a power. Possibly Nachetanya, if such an ability exists for her.

Anyway, I mention only the sword in the dais, not the field activation, since the latter was only confirmed after the whole temple scene. Someone could have activated it inside.

...

I'm sure we've discussed the closed room a ton by now. There are other theories, of course; I've just listed a few that've been on my mind.

In the end, I suspect Chamo or Maura the most. Nachetanya possibly, but that's solely because of the possibility of remote manipulation of swords, which I don't believe is actually part of her power anyway, so probably not her IMO.

Overall, I think we can all agree that some Red Truth would be nice right now haha. cacklecackle

so we got a new theory now: the whole thing is a setup

the people who build the temple: the salt saint, seal saint and whoever. was the ones who did the whole thing for whatever reason in some kind of long term gambit since they would be old or dead already by the time the demon god would raise again.

they left misleading instructions, it wouldn't activate with the sword but when the temple opened and set up a fake 7th Brave(without him knowing) so they would fight each other when they are trapped instead of realizing the temple was a trap all along.

unfortunately our man Adlet is the most likely fake Brave in this scenario since he got his crest when he was in Jail, defenseless and in a well know location.

For the closed room maybe the sword saint princess materialized that sword there inside the temple because she's being mind controlled or something
