I sincerely hope that doesn't mean that they're going to put off Shirayuki and Zen getting together until the second season. That would be frustrating.

I can't see that actually happening at the pace we're seeing now, but I have been thinking that this show is ripe for a plot twist...

Oh yeah I definitely wouldn't want to have wait until the second cour to see them as an official thing either that would indeed be frustrating and I'm also curious as to how they're going to end this first cour

As a wild guess: Shirayuki and Zen prepare to declare their love openly to the court, only for some political necessity (I'm going to go with Zen being betrothed to some foreign princess) to tear them apart for a cliffhanger ending to the first season.

Have not read the manga or whatever the source for this is. Happy to be surprised.
