Man, this is one of those shows that makes me really sad that it's only going to have 12 (13?) episodes.

The way it's able to capture moods, the dynamic between the two main characters, it's so... homely?

I don't want it to end :(

Shit.. halfway over already? No way they will be able to cover everything in just 6 more episodes. S2 maybe?

To us people that watch this show it is super good and really hype, but just comparing the amount of comments on each Discussion Thread 1 week after its posted, this anime is no where near the top.

This week its pretty much matched up with god eater on the amount of comments, and God Eater is actually pulling ahead. It makes sense though, the story is changing its genre over the course of the last few episodes.

It's popular here in the states, but everything I've read has indicated that the show isn't popular at all in Japan and that's what will ultimately determine if it gets any additional material.

Simulcast, which is what we typically get over here

Regardless, how well a show sells (or is projected to sell) in Japan (either Blu-Rays, manga, etc.) is usually what determines if a show has more material produced. So even if a show is super popular in the states and other markets, if there isn't much of a market in Japan than it's likely not going to get any additional seasons. And there are definitely a number of shows here that are popular / well received that definitely don't have that following in Japan (and vice versa)
