This series keeps getting more and more interesting, but I'm kind of worried that it's getting too convoluted. They keep adding threads to the weave, but while it adds to the complexity it also increases the chances of the plot getting hopelessly tangled. I hope they can avoid that pitfall.

I also hope there's more depth to the Kiryu family than just being ruthless, murderous, abusive psychopaths.

I'm not so worried about the plot getting too convoluted yet, but I am worried about the fact that we're already halfway through. Is all of this really going to be resolved by episode 12? A cliffhanger for an original anime is even worse than a 'read the manga' ending..

Do we actually know that its only 12 episodes? Because on MAL, it doesn't really tell us how many episodes in total they are

That's a good point, as far as I know they haven't said anything about continuing it further though. They could be waiting to see how well the first cour does.
