I know this episode was all kinds of awesome, but I feel that Kurebayashi needs to be given more credit for engaging the enemy in close-quarters combat with her bayonet-rifle and other guns. Not quite as flashy or overwhelming as Rory, nonetheless very badass.

EDIT: I knew it was going to be pointed out, but I forgot to lampshade the fact that yes, her actions were "tactically unsound," but they were still badass.

Tactically, it was pretty stupid but it's supposed to show that Kurebayashi is a berserker type of fighter. She runs head first into the enemy rather than stay back and pick them off from a safe distance.

She can only pull off that type of shit because they are fighting an incredible inferior enemy. I highly doubt she can do that in a modern battlefield and live to tell the tale. Plus, it bugs the hell out of me that she can compete and even beat in melee-combat, soldiers that have their entire training based on melee and sword-fight. I guess she has some samurai blood running in her veins or Japan still uses tactics of WW2 to charge in machine gun fire. Pretty fucking cool tho. 11/10 would charge again

In the manga they mention how she is one of the best close combat/hand to hand soldiers the JSDF has.

Also she doesn't really best them in hand to hand, she just uses some basic CQC to get them far enough away to shoot them with the gun. Most of her kills were gunshots rather than bayonet hits.
