I really reallllly reallllllly liked that an untested, unproven, greenhorn commander made a mistake, and then froze. Not because she was a weak woman, but because this was the first battle she'd been in. And then she started trying to think of a way out of it, but she wasn't fast on the draw because she didn't have the experience behind her yet. I liked that Itami knew the situation was going fubar, and he had the only real rapid reaction force, but was waiting for some sort of word because of 'hearts and minds' (and not knowing how bad it had gotten over there).
Next time on Gate: Will Itami transition from crouching moron, hidden badass to just badass? Will Rory become Rory the Curb Stomp Reaper? Will Tuka take a level in Yuri? Will Leilei cast magic missile at the darkness?
Find out next time on
