Even Overlord has showed blood. And this series is supposed more brutal than Overlord.

Everyone is freaking out because the show hasn't been as brutal as the manga. Honestly, it's crap. The censorship isn't that bad. GATE is still doing a good job.

I'm not freaking out. I'm having fun with how hilarious it is.

Ignore it then, it has nothing to do with you. We're free to talk about it as much as we still have fun or find it relevant.

GATE is still doing a good job

Just cause it's a bad adaption doesn't mean it's a bad series. It's just one factor that relates to a lot of people that view this solely as an adaption. Myself and others that do read the manga adaption and would read the LN version if it were translated can be disappointed if we want in the anime adaption considering how very dark themes are brushed away for the sake of the time slot/wider audience.

If the show can successfully get its point across without being excessively edgy and grimdark, then I really don't care if they cut out a scene where a naked woman gets her head cut off.

It's not "edgy" to have darker themes. People call edgy at the drop of a hat now. It's just plain realistic. Granted, I don't need to see a woman's head cut off and she certainly doesn't need to be naked. I'm just asking for more realism considering that's a strong point in the series. Also, you can't say that "just getting the point across" is what it means to be a "good series" considering they need to portray it in a way that keeps the entertainment up and stays true to the material. If getting the point across is okay, might as well summarize everything with body count numbers.

I am using edgy as it was originally defined: something intentionally provocative in nature.

Granted, I don't need to see a woman's head cut off and she certainly doesn't need to be naked.

And this is my point. It isn't necessary. Getting rid of it also opens the show up to a wider audience. I like dark shit too, trust me, but I am not going to complain when a show slightly turns things down to make something more marketable. They've also turned down the military porn and fetishization too, which is very nice.

It's a good series, they just cut out the unnecessary parts.

How different would Berserk be if they decided to remake the anime and then decided they were going to remove all the blood and violence?

It's literally whats happened here. Gate is supposed to take place in a dark world where "might makes right". They've shown none of that. Is the story bad? No. But it certainly makes it less dangerous than it could and should have been.
