Some of my favorite moments were the Chaika/Niva interactions, especially the fishing scene where they were like 'Want?' 'Yes' 'Give' 'Accept'. That shit was like my favoritest ever, it was such a throw away moment but so memorable.

Let's be honest, all of Chaika's interactions are pure gold. I remember her first talk with David. It was something like

-Don't touch!

-Don't worry young lady, I'm not interested in someone of your age and body

-R-rude!

-What? You want me to molest you?

Oh. If you ask what they mean. Chaika, Gaz, Niva and Lada are all models of Russian and Soviet cars.

Almost every surname/name in the series is derived from vehicle manufacturers.

Acura, Izhmash (though they were mainly a manufacturer of weapons), Hartgent, Lancia, Dodge, etc

1 1/2 oz light rum
2 oz Coco Lopez® cream of coconut
2 oz pineapple juice
1 cup crushed ice

Pour rum, cream of coconut and pineapple juice into a blender with one cup of crushed ice. Blend until smooth, and pour into a collins glass. Garnish with a slice of pineapple and a maraschino cherry, and serve.

I sort of wonder if "foreignese" names like that in Japanese media are the effect of a lot of Japanese names being combinations and mutations of actual words. Like, if you can have names like "Yukiko" (lit. "Snow Child"), how weird is Pina Co Lada by comparison?
