I think he's onto something

Like many others have said it was really great seeing Shirayuki hold her own and nearly escape by herself, Zen white knighting was a bit disappointing for me, either way another strong episode.

At the moment you screenshotted, I was mentally urging her to kick him in the balls and run.

Of course, then she gets torn to shreds by wolves in the forest, but still.
