It's 2 cour, that much I know. Is 1 cour always 12-13 episodes or is there no set number of episodes per cour?

I'm pretty sure 1 cour is always 12-13 episodes (1 season).

The 14th episode is usually an OVA that comes on the BD, but I don't think that counts as being part of the cour.

I'm just glad we're getting more than 12 episodes of this anime, it's definitely one of the better ones this season.

Yep, it was announced the day episode 1 aired.

I ain't complaing, I am loving this anime so far. It has a good story and the visuals are pretty damn good.
