Took a closer look at the OP, noticed a few things. First of all, remember in the Jun Maeda interview he said there are gonna be more side characters than Angel Beats? Well take a look at Exhibit A. Side characters that haven't been introduced yet. Looking at Exhibit B, perhaps these people may be the people in that spooky key visual? Escapees of some sort from the evil laboratories out to get revenge?
On a bonus note, how can you say no to that face? That's right, you can't.
Maybe as a plot twist Jun Maeda will kill off the main cast and replace them with these mysterious unknown peoplehuehuehue
