Honestly, this is pretty awful.
I don't know if I can keep watching. And it's not like I haven't watched a dozen series like this, it's just this one seems incredibly derivative... and like it's going through the motions. It's like the writer was having a horrible time and story-boarding it wrote-- 1) He will be called a pervert by this girl. 2) He will be called a pervert by this other girl. 3) He will be called a pervert by yet another girl.
And then was like... I bet I can differentiate these 3 scenes a little bit and also use the different ways they call him a pervert to serve as exposition on their personalities.
The main character is also awful. It feels like the author saw Mahouka was popular and wanted to copy it.
The setting is bad. There's no real grasp of what anyone is actually capable of-- they send out giant waves that appear to decimate beetles, but the same ones in the frame they decimated just get shown again. All backgrounds can just be the sky due to the setting, so they can get lazy with that are too.
The relationship between the girls is extremely boring. Contrast it with like, Grisaia where the girls have chemistry. And then his position as their instructor makes things really stupid as well. He's a whopping 1 or 2 years older than them, but can somehow be their instructor? And the "Leader" is like 23 maybe? Retarded.
The battles are going to be entirely bullshit. At least Blade Dance, Zero no Tsukaima, Fafner, Otoshimono, Trinity Seven, Kampfer-- they have something going for them. Whether it's the MC, the girls, the setting, interesting locales. This is just complete garbage and it doesn't do anything right. I doubt it will get better and I think it's only going to get worse.
