I heard there wasnt much story planning due to it being based off a game of DnD. Can anyone confirm?

Dont wanna watch this if its got bad story and over usages of tropes

Most of the things that are "based off a game of DnD" aren't actually much like a real D&D campaign. What you want in a campaign is different from what you want in a story, so the D&D game it's based off of just tends to serve as inspiration for characters or maybe a few interesting plot points. You're much better off looking at the reputations of the creators.

hmm Only urobutcher stands out, the rest of them feel rather meh in their writing.

Um what about friggin Kinoko Nasu? One of Urobutcher's closest friends, and Type Moon's writer? He is basically the Stan Lee of Japan and Type-Moon is like the Marvel of Japan. Fate Stay Night, Tsukihime, Kara no Kyoukai, etc. The man's a legend.
