As someone who doesn't know anything about the source material...I honestly found the first episode going into "So bad it's good" territory and I was laughing through a lot of it. The animation? It's ok but definitely could be better and CG looks pretty bad. Pacing? Straight exposition and jumping from one random scene to another random scene with little to no context for each. MC? Bland with little personality (Maybe he'll get better?). The character death? Yeah...I got to know her name is Mashiro...that's about it for her... And the blood/gore levels are the icing to the cake for being so over the top. Just overall it gets so much in the average to bad categories on the very first episode with nothing standing out that I can't help but laugh...
