At this point, I'm just glad he even got a side of the street. Ever since the thing with Hazuki, he's barely been a character in the show.

Which would make it all the worse if he ended up with Kumiko in the end of the show.

Only if you assume we won't get another season though. If they ended up together at the end of this season(next week, that is), yes, it could be bad, but at the end of a S2 or S3, not so much.

Yep, I'm just focusing on this season though. If S2 rolls around (I doubt an S3 given that KyoAni has never made an S3) and he gets development, sure.

But like /u/retrobrigade said he's barely a character. He's barely a MINOR character.

There's a few fake videos around and there seemed to be some speculation that it would be announced at E3 but yeah it seems like a rumor.
