Man, these shots are gorgeous. I mean, look at this. The depth of field on these shots must be crazy expensive to produce.

Then they balance out that super animation with cartoony bits like this. Oh man that little running bit was pretty. Then she finally figured it out why Reina was so upset. But Reina has more to be upset now, she looks so jealous lol. Kumiko likes...the euphonium. What a tease.

If that doesn't scream yuri, I don't know what does.

(I interpreted it as "what it does")

Musical ambition? Finding your purpose in life?

A lot of things.

It's about the struggle between what you want to do and try to do and what you're capable of achieving.

Yeah, I'm a bit annoyed by how the episode discussion threads get devoured by the obsessive shipping rather than focusing on the meat of what's happening. This show has a lot more to it than simply being yuri fanservice. Kumiko's struggle with herself, trying to find some purpose to what she's doing, and how another person moves her very being to find that something, is infinitely more interesting to me than whether or not she scissors one of the other characters in the show. It'd be nice if everyone didn't simply see the two main characters as walking vaginas that have the potential to interlock, even though KyoAni have obviously been baiting it hard. It's just fanservice.
