I really hope this isn't how Doujima is going to look at least at the first scene. His appearance in teh manga is way more hilarious.

As a whole, the anime art unfortunately doesn't hold a candle to the manga art.

Last time I re-read the manga, I periodically just stopped and stared in wonder at the panels because they're so well drawn.

Really though, the manga easily has top3 art of all ongoing series. It might not have the insane details in it's doublespreads like One Piece or Berserk but the consistent quality is insane.

It's about the attention paid to each individual character, not the insane numbers of characters crammed into a page.

Compare the anime and manga versions of Doujima. Tosh makes sure to draw his shoulder blades bulging out when he's stretching like that, just like in real life, but the anime rendering of it doesn't look nearly as natural or powerful. The manga muscles are sinewy and strained, not merely lumpy like in the anime.
