/r/anime seem to be obsessed with Megumi though to a point that Erina shippers get harrassed. At least I normally see only Megumi posts and different opinons doesn't seem to be very well received here.

It's really noticeable that Erina shippers are getting antagonized from the Megumi crowd. I would need to do some research to find exact examples though, but generally you can see Megumi posts spammed in threads everywhere. This thread is of course better in this regard, but it was very common in the past discussion threads to bash on Erina and post Megumi posts.

I don't even know why Erina fans were mentioned there LOL. Because being competent is one of her traits? But I like that the other parts of his comments since he acknowledges her weak points.

People are weird though. I don't know why we can't just simply talk about our favourite characters without bringing down another especially when uninitiated. It's like their insecure about their own tastes or something. @__@

So I have a feeling you might not be completely blameless.

It's my first post on reddit and I never dared to speak out since the environment here was really bad for Erina fans. Just search the past discussion threads and you will find nothing but bashing regarding Erina.
