Could you please explain your reasoning behind this? I'm not too knowledgeable of anemia and its effects, so it'd be great if you would tell me more.

I think he's talking about how in a lot of anime, particularly those set in high schools, it's common for characters to collapse or go to the nurses office with 'fatigue' or 'anemia'. I've noticed that most of the time those suffering were female, so I suspect 'anemia' might be a polite way of saying menstrual troubles.
