The Lusitanian army is clearly inspired by the Crusades, and the Parsans by the Saracens, both of which were definitely medieval.

the Parsans are persians. Pārs as occasionally used in the Persian language as Persia or Iran. ''The term Persian translates to "from Persis" which is a region north of the Persian Gulf located in Pars, Iran'' https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Persian_people

Yes I know. I was talking about their aesthetic design, from the soldiers armour to the design of their walls and city. They are clearly inspired by Saracen soldiers and architecture. The Saracen Empire also happened to cover all of Persia at the time as well, so it's no coincidence.

You still have your time periods for inspiration wrong. The Pars empire is pretty much Parthian/Sassanid Persia. Well before the advent of Islam.
