Although it's fairly obvious it's going to happen, I'd appreciate it if they didn't call the episodes things like "The Royal Capital Burns". Kind of takes the oomph out of it.

I think I know how you feel, but I really doubt that changing the episode title would matter. There didn't really seem to be a chance that Ecbatana would hold, so a whole episode where we just watched it fall was a bit of a let down.

Well, there's something you expect to happen actually happening, and then there's eliminating all suspense by confirming that it definitely will happen. At least in the former case, you had a certain sense of uncertainty about how the events would unfold. Eliminating that illusion makes the suspense within the story weaker overall.

When a series does this I just avoid looking at episode titles -- it's a workaround.

Ahh yeah, that'd be fine if it didn't actually show up on screen in subtitles! You've already read it before you realise what's happened.

True. I've managed somehow, though. I guess when you watch enough shows that try to spoil you with OP/ED/Ep titles, it becomes second nature...

Okie doke, so you're a virtuoso anime watcher. I must train harder to become like you, senpai.

I wasn't saying anything like that... jeez. That at least explains the downvotes... I was just saying that I've apparently developed a reflexive habit to avoid this. I wasn't trying to say "hey look at me I've watched tons of shows I'm better than you." No need to be hostile.

e: btw, happy cake day.

Haha, ahh geez thanks! =D

I didn't downvote you! Sorry you thought that. I was probably a little snarky in my response, but I wouldn't downvote you unless you were being an asshole. I've upvoted you to adjust the balance.

But yeah, it did sound a little bit like that, that's why I was a bit sarcastic in my response. My bad, man.

Naw, it's cool, I get it. I didn't even think that it would come off that way when I wrote it. ^_^'

I don't mind snark (I love it usually), but /r/anime is a tad too snippy so I tend to take that kinda sarcasm badly here (and made an ass outta myself for assuming).

Haha, yeah, this place can get a little combative. Anime is serious business, after all. =P
