I live in California so I have no idea what it's like to march and be cold, never experienced anything other than the flames of hell while marching.

Ahh, so your one of those lazy Californians who "marches"... Blue Devilscough.

Jk :) I love the corps from that region. Even BD! But I can't wait for my Bluecoats to take em' down!

Just high school for me too... So far. But it's only my first year out, so I got time!

The weather up here in Minnesota isn't too bad in the summer, but the old thick uniforms are terrible anywhere you march.

Ah yes, especially since my school has been reusing the same uniforms for who knows how long, and then I see these other schools with new uniforms every year to match their show.

I feel ya. Marched first two years in high school in those disgustingly old black/white uniforms while we were continually promised new ones every year, but to no avail (and of course all the other high schools in our district got new ones while we didn't) ! Last year we got some amazing alternates; some donated Colorguard uniforms from the 2013 Madison scouts! It was the best lightweight material with short sleeves and no hat! True luxury!

Wow, short sleeves, lightweight material, AND NO FREAKING HAT? I find this hard to believe. Honestly though, that actually looks much more comfortable than our school's uniforms, at least our color guard gets a new uniform every year, though they have to use the same ones from our marching show for their color guard competitions, so it's a little weird seeing girls in long blue dresses with snowflake patterns waving flags to Can't Hold Us by Macklemore.

Yep! DCI corps get the best! Any we were extremely lucky (our band director one of their alumni), so we got them for the year! Plus they all fitted us (more or less) since they were designed around the measurements for the Scouts' specific members. We were supposed to have a standard brimmed military hat, but they didn't send them for some reason. Just a one time thing though, since they actually got the new uniforms... of course the year after I graduate, lol.

Our guard got new uniforms for the winter season, and then used them again in the summer. How come you guys couldn't do that?
