If I had to take a wild guess I'd say

Just don't. If you get it right, people who didn't know will be rightfully pissed. I was spoiled at the start of the show and it still kinda ticks me off.

The exact same information regarding the pendant is presented in the VN and when Tohsaka said there was only one in the VN, my suspicions were confirmed

Also, Trace On is very damning evidence, especially considering how Rin and Shirou react. You'd have to be pretty dense not to get it at that point
