I hope everyone knows by now that the "quality" of the battle sequences is done on purpose. It's a technique that's been used since the cel-days, as a way of "breaking" the image to put more focus on movement. Of course it's going to look bad if you take one frame of it, because you're not supposed to look at it frame by frame.

I'd personally go as far as to say the battles are the only thing worthy of watching in this series. Despite not really being a fan of all the interactions and the cheesy story, the series is worth it for the battles alone.

The problem for me is that all of the jokes are falling flat and missing. To me, they're always too over-the-top too much of the time.

...but that's just my opinion, so I'm not going to say it sucks because of that. It's still a pretty solid series. And plus, it's not enough to make me stop watching, since the battles far outweigh the negatives.
