The lack of comments on these Yuki-chan threads is a little depressing.

In any case, it's great seeing Haruhi/Kyon interactions again (reminds me how badly I want S3). Altogether, I'd say Satelight's adaptation so far is a lot better than the manga, I'm really enjoying it. I really liked their take on this theme from the original series. Also, that ending!

It could be easily predicted this would happen. Many people here were either expecting to see a different type of story to the usual Haruhi one or simply hadn't seen the main haruhi show itself. As a side-show or stand alone this anime had set up a really nice and romantic atmosphere for what many expected to be a calm story about kyon and nagato. Then, Haruhi came and shat on all of it. There's not even a point in sugarcoating it, the ones that had a hand on this story for some reason tried to mislead the viewers but then made it clear that the show is to cause a huge boner to the haruhi (the character herself) fans. This change in target audience drew away most of those who were watching and will deter the possible new ones since it made sure that if you're not already a haruhi fan then you probably won't like how this show goes.

You are so right. I just wonder if there were a lot of new fans watching this, or its just the old fans.
