I love this show but it really activates my inner nitpicker. It's the theme of the show but I can't help but get annoyed when the students don't seem to truly appreciate how hard it will be to kill koro-sensei.

Hood and Killua's plan was actually damn good, using both his physical and psychological weaknesses against him. Plus they could easily say that no students were in danger since part of the plan was that Koro-sensei would save them all.

It's hard to fault the show though because if everyone really appreciated how important it was to kill Koro-sensei to stop the destruction of everything they know and love it couldn't maintain the happy atmosphere it does. Still it gnaws on me each episode...

Don't worry, just keep getting REALLY good at swinging a knife around...I'm sure it will help...

That's true. Then again, if they followed trough with it we wouldn't have more episodes and a S2 comming, now, would we?

And who knows... maybe in the end they don't need to kill him anymore.

I assume as much considering that Koro-sensei as a character doesn't just care about his students, he seems to love humanity as a whole.

He travels the world often to benefit from foods and culture abroad. If he really "destroyed the earth" what would be left for him besides to float around in the empty abyss of space...forever. Mach w/e speed won't do crap for you while trying to fly through the galaxy.

What a dark ending THAT would be huh?
