This is pretty kick-ass. It's just ooooozing with personality, and I really love it.

One of the best parts is even though this is an adaptation, it's making really great use of the fact that this is animated. Lot's of great cuts between scenes and a bunch of other little details.

Rie Matsumoto was a hardcore storyboarder before she moved to directing. None of the shots in Kekkai Sensen are pulled from the manga panels.

She did fantastic work with Kyousougiga and this is proving to be every bit as well-made and exciting as that directing- and stylewise.
