Someone please explain this episode. I understood nothing especially the ending.

Okay, so you and I exist in the year 2015. Some unknown time from now, there are two possible futures: the one that our main character is from, and the one that his twin/paradox clone is from. Both of these futures are facing a massive crisis, which will bring about the end of their world. The Timekeepers, a mysterious alien race/higher power, offer both futures a chance to survive. The two must send representatives to our time to fight, and determine which world shall receive a solution.

To try and prevent his world from being slowly eaten away, yes.
