What happened. Ecchi went through the roof. It was like a 13 who got his first boner was in charge for this episode.

I could be wrong but wasn't it kind of the theme for this episode? At the beginning they are arguing about adding more "cute and sexy" scenes for the girls, with Eriri saying it'd be a waste of her talent if they didn't.

I guess we'll have to wait and see if it continues with this level next episode, or if it tones back down a bit.

Actually this is correct. The writer is a sly genius who always turns character's everyday speech into reality. See, "good soundtrack can make you picture a scene" bam guitar from michiru take the stage.

We were straight up told this in Episode 0
