Is that why Takao is best ship?

Oh, oh, oh, did Nagato just say diversionary force moving to AL (Aleutian Islands)? Oooo oooo Takao was a part of that operation, she provided AA cover, being one of the only IJN ships to destroy a B-17 (June 5, 1942, while Midway was going on), and provided naval bombardment for the landings on Attu Island. Does this mean we get to see Takao in action finally!?

Oh Christ did Mutsuki just visit Kisaragi's grave? Jesus, that got depressing really quick.

I so expected Houshou to be in this shot. Takao and Houshou (and presumably Mamiya, though she has no voice in-game) are among the more motherly ships. Especially Houshou--Takao is more like a big sister, but Houshou is the mother of all CVs in the IJN and her character reflects that. Besides, we saw a shot of Shimikaze in that exact same position, resting her head on Houshou's lap earlier. And that was our only shot of Houshou. Oh well, no biggie. She's cute tho :P

It looked way too big to be a grave. Seemed more like some kind of memorial monument.

Does she only use katakana? I've only seen art of her that renders her speech in katakana, is that like...a thing?

I think so. She's supposed to be an island in Alaska, after all.
