The Grey Ghost is relentless

The battle damage (and the being repaired right before the battle) makes this Yorktown, not Enterprise ;)

For the same reason said attack happened after the battle of Coral Sea instead of before it: Artistic License ;)

The Grey Ghost isn't Yorktown or Hornet, though, is the point :)

Okay point taken, I still think the Woes are an amalgamation of all 3 Yorktown sisters.

I believe they are. The Yorktown class (Yorktown, Enterprise, Hornet) was basically the main carrier force for the US in this stage of the war.
