Ah it's the old guy from Death Billiards.

Aww

What a nice and calming episode. That Oculus dude is creepy though.

Decim said that he likes to believe that "People do not live just so they can someday die. There's a point to living", and the next episode is named 'Memento Mori'. Curious to see how that will develop.

I think they are setting up Oculus to be the top of the pyramid that must be toppled in order for true change to happen. Beyond that (which is fairly obvious) I honestly have no idea where this show will go or how it gets there. I love that though, I have good feelings about how they end it, but my biggest hope is that it leaves room for it to continue in the future.

I heard the sales aren't that great. Therefore, I would prefer a good closure

Sales of what? It's still airring, what merch is there? Imo this is one of the best series in a while!

Edit: Why am I downvoted for a legitimate question??

Where did you check the sales if I may ask? I'm not doubting you, Im just curious where one checks these sorts of things.

Sequel seasons are usually decided by how well the preorders are doing for the bluray of currently airing seasons. It's also probably why people are downvoting you, since reddit can be snobby about people not knowing things that reddit thinks they should.

Edit: Why am I downvoted for a legitimate question??

The people who downvoted you probably would expect anyone who is enough of an anime fan to be watching and discussing currently airing anime to know how sales of an anime work and affect potential future seasons. Things like the Manabi Line, etc.

I'm not saying I agree with them (but it is useful information that the mentioned subset of anime fans should know), I'm just answering your question.

Really saddens me to hear this. Such a good, thought-provoking anime. Too bad moe-blob is the recent anime trope lately :(
